California Wind Energy Collaborative Forum 2008

For the sixth time, the California Wind Energy Collaborative is hosting a Forum to explore the technology, policy, and planning driving wind energy's future in California. The Forum will assemble expert panels from industry, government, and academia to discuss the most relevant issues facing wind energy in the state.

The Forum will be a one-day event held on Friday, September 19 at SMUD's Rubicon Room in Sacramento, CA.

WIND ENERGY COURSE FOR TECHNICIANS

OCTOBER 18-19, 2008
PALMDALE, CA

The third offering of the Wind Energy for Technicians short course is now open for enrollment. The class will be held in Palmdale, CA on Oct. 18 and 19, 2008. The two-day course is taught by experts in industry and academia and covers the science and engineering of modern utility-scale wind power.

K-12 Teacher Wind & Solar Workshop

The Collaborative is teaming with NEED (National Energy Education Development) and PG&E to offer a two-day wind and solar workshop for K-12 educators. The event will be held on August 5-6 on the UC Davis campus. The course is free to K-12 public school teachers. Space is limited, so sign up soon.

Wind Energy Research Planning for California

The Collaborative hosted a workshop on 11 December 2007 to gather input toward development of a Wind Energy Research Plan for California. The research plan will identify and prioritize wind energy research, development, and deployment efforts that will facilitate California's renewable energy policy goals.
