As part of Energy Week 2011, the California Wind Energy Collaborative conducted its eighth annual Forum on April 5, 2011. The Forum was held at the Buehler's Alumni & Visitors Center at University of California, Davis. The morning session focused on the unique challenges of tapping into California's vast offshore wind resources. The afternoon session focused on research, development, and demonstration activities to improve wind forecasting. Experts from national labs and California universities shared their findings and insights.
Thank you to all those who attended and stimulated discussion. We had about 60 attendees. Also, we are grateful to our speakers, who shared their in depth knowledge on wind energy issues.
Proceedings from the Forum are below. Just click on the pdf or mp3 icon to begin viewing. The roster of Forum registrants is password protected and only available to attendees. Contact forum@cwec.ucdavis.edu if you need the username and password re-sent to you.
The presentation slides are in PDF format and require Adobe Reader for viewing. The audio recordings are in mp3 format and most likely can be played on your computer without the installation of any additional software.
