Study of Renewables Integration Costs for California's Renewables Portfolio Standard

12 Feb 2004 The California Energy Commission is conducting a workshop to present and discuss the final results and methodologies of the RPS Integration Costs Phase I study. The workshop will be held on February 20, 2004 from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. PST in Hearing Room A of the California Energy Commission building. Please see the hearing notice for details on the agenda and a list of some of the issues that will be discussed.
The notice includes instructions for submitting written comments. If you previously submitted comments regarding this study, please resubmit them per the notice instructions.
10 Dec 2003 The final release of the RPS Integration Costs Phase I report is now available. The formal comments received during the public draft review period are included with responses in Appendix C. The report will also be available directly from the CEC website shortly.

9 Oct 2003 The final Phase I report is now available for public review and comment. Discussion of the report can be conducted on the rpsintegration-workinggroup mailing list. Formal comments can be submitted to rpsintegration-Q@cwec.ucdavis.edu. These comments will be addressed and included in the final draft of the report. Comments will be accepted until 24 October 2003. 9 Oct 2003 9:53 PDT The report has been updated. Equation 3.1 on page 23 now appears correctly.

4 Sep 2003 The workshop notice at the CEC website has moved. It is now at http://www.energy.ca.gov/portfolio/notices/2003-08-28_notice.html. Neither the time nor the location of the actual location of the workshop has changed.
29 Aug 2003 The CEC is conducting a public workshop to present and discuss the findings of Phase I. The workshop will be held on Friday, 12 September 2003 in Hearing Room A at the CEC. It will begin at 9 a.m. The formal announcement is available here.
A progress report presenting some preliminary findings of the study is now available.

24 April 2003 The new location of the 29 April workshop has been determined. The workshop will be held at Hearing Room A of the California Power Authority building, located at 901 P Street, which is across the street from the CEC.

23 April 2003 A draft document presenting the integration cost valuation methodologies under development is now available. The document discusses the scope of the methodologies at this stage of development and provides specific details about implementation and application. The methodologies will be presented and discussed at the 29 April CEC workshop.
